GRAY HALO

Gray Halo was a side project of the former front man Curtis Cates of the local Eastland Texas Heavy Metal Band Zionisty. Zionisty is now a Religion which is kind off funny because we started out a Christian Metal Band in 1993. Band members Steve Gryder And Me, Curtis Cates. We went through many bass players Chris Martin Jason Dale and Angela Gryder. And the Band was completed when Josh Petree as lead and rhythm guitars. Most of the songs we played were written by me and Steve. So we I had the solos done and lyrics and we had them play what was needed. And after a while we all wrote the songs and we had some really good songs I still want to go back and record with them someday. During the duration of our while playing in Zionisty I was writing and recording songs that are now the foundation of GRAY HALO!

GRAY HALO is what I believe to the result of everything in my personal life as well as everyone else. We all try to be good and do good for many reasons and everyone including I have failed. I believe in God and Jesus but I am a sinner no better than the person next door. And God and the people want or try to live in a right and wrong world Black and White but everyone has fallen short which leaves GRAY. In Gray Halo I try to grab your attention with every guitar intro or solo every cymbal crash double bass beat before I even open my mouth and sing. The lyrics are all personal on this Self Titled Album and I know there are many people out there that feel the same as I do and I want them to know they are not alone. If There is one thing I have learned it is that life is a test but an amazing gift and what you do with it is up to you, and when your trying to be an angel you will sin as everyone does and your Halo will be Gray!
